MY STORY

I started working in healthcare when I was 16. The activities department at a nursing home was where I worked. I instantly fell in love with the residents!

Often they would talk about wanting to go back home, and some did. Most, however, did not. When I learned of Assisted Living Facilities and the home-like setting they provide, I was hopeful for my residents.

Fast forward a few years and now my grandfather was spending time in hospitals and just wanted to get out of there. At 18, there wasn't much I could do. I wish I knew then what I know now.

Having been close with all four of my grandparents really makes being a referral agent feel special. Knowing that I'm helping people get closer to home or a home-like setting makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
